Read-a-thon 2022

The Rheem Read-a-thon 2022

Rheem’s annual literacy program, the Rheem Read-a-thon, will run from January 18 through February 15. During this program, parents will track their student’s weekly reading time. All types of reading count: silent reading, reading to others, in-class reading, and being read to by family or friends.

Track hours every Monday using an online Google Form.

The goal of the Read-a-thon is 100% participation, and the emphasis is on reading for fun! We have two school-wide incentives to encourage reading:

  • If 90% participation is reached by Week 2, students will earn a Crazy Hair Day!
  • If 100% participation is reached by the end of the read-a-thon, Pajama Day will be earned on Friday, April 1!

In addition to encouraging students to read, this program raises money for our school and this year will help to fund the new Teacher Resource Library.

Donations must be submitted by Friday, April 1, 2022 through
