November 13th Announcement about reopening schools - NOT Reopening on Nov 16th
Posted 11/16/20

This morning, Contra Costa County Health Services reported that the County is expected to move from the Red, “Substantial”, Level 2 to Purple, “Widespread”, Level 1 on November 24, 2020, or at the latest December 1, 2020.

The Moraga School District Governing Board held an emergency meeting today to discuss the reopening of schools in light of this information. The MSD Governing Board decided not to reopen for in person instruction on November 16, 2020, and assuming that Contra Costa County is in the purple tier on or before December 1, 2020, Moraga schools will reopen as soon as possible after Contra Costa County moves into the red tier and all regulations are met.

Based on this decision, we will continue with current Distance Learning 2.0 classroom schedules, including at the elementary level Art, Music, PE, and Library synchronous lessons. The elementary Reading Tutor and the Fundations Tutor programs will also continue with the current Distance Learning 2.0 schedules.
